Aurora

Aurora

Aurora offers intensive supported accommodation for women with high-level needs. Support is provided daily, 365 days per year, and is offered in a caring and safe environment. Staff are here to offer support and guidance around maintaining a tenancy, daily life skills, signposting to other support services and to empower residents to overcome life controlling barriers to independent living.

Accommodation at Aurora consists of 4 x 2 bed-roomed shared, fully furnished flats. You will have your own bedroom, and share a bathroom, kitchen and lounge area with one other person. All flats come with white goods and essentials such as crockery, cutlery, pans, utensils, and bedding etc.

The project has a communal room available to all residents where weekly activities and house meetings take place, or you can use this space to simply relax, read a book, have a cuppa or watch TV with other residents.

On arrival, residents are allocated a named Key Worker who will offer tailored one-to-one support including:

  • Listening to your views, help you set goals and support you on our journey to achieve them.
  • Discussing options and choices around you future accommodation and work with you and external agencies to help you move on positively into your own home.
  • Advocating on your behalf when you need it.
  • Treating you fairly and respecting you and your choices.

Workers are accessible throughout the night. Our Night Support Team are there to listen to any concerns you may have, and to offer advice and guidance. They also monitor the security of the building and deal with any emergencies that might occur concerning residents’ welfare.
