“I’m Olivia, a third year Philosophy and Theology student at Durham University. I’m originally from the US, but have really enjoyed living in the UK for the past few years!
Throughout my time in Durham, I have really enjoyed working with a wide variety of local Northeast charities through Durham University Charities Kommittee (DUCK). Also during my time at Durham I’ve become more aware of the issues that homeless people face, and how much of an impact DASH has had in the community.
I first learned about DASH through a friend who also volunteered and encouraged me to apply to assist DASH in the creation of promotional and informational graphics. DASH’s incredible work in providing housing assistance in the local community is extremely valuable, and I was very interested in getting involved! It has been a great way to combine my commitment to volunteering as well as my personal interest in graphic design. Volunteering with DASH has been a great experience!”
