Luca
The Luca Project
The Luca Project is our Hospital Discharge Service, providing housing and support to individuals who would be homeless or potentially homeless on discharge from hospital.
Luca accommodation is made up of single person flats and houses in the north of the County. Accommodation is fully furnished, and comes with white goods, essentials such as crockery, cutlery, pans, utensils, and bedding etc. Residents can choose their soft furnishings and other household items, giving the accommodation a personal touch. We provide radios and 2 months’ worth of free wifi, helping residents to settle in and not feel isolated and alone. We believe that recovery begins with having access to a safe and secure place to live.
We provide trauma informed and person-centred support with intensive housing management. On arrival, residents are allocated a named Key Worker who will offer tailored one-to-one support including:
- Listening to your views, help you set goals and support you on your journey to achieve them.
- Discussing options and choices around your future accommodation and work with you and external agencies to help you move on positively into your own home.
- Advocating on your behalf when you need it, and work closely with other agencies involved in your support journey.
- Treating you fairly and respecting you and your choices.
Residents can remain for up to 18 months. When ready to move on, your Key Worker will assist with the housing application process.
Currently, we only accept referrals from Hospital Discharge Teams and Adult Social Care. If you wish to make a referral, please email luca@dashorg.co.uk or ring 0191 384 507
